This week we continued with our theme of friends. We talked about how we can have friends close to us in class, in other classes, or far away in other countries. We took turns telling about friends that we know from the countries we came from and also friends that used to me with us on the ship but now are far away. Next week we plan to write letters and emails to the friends we thought of.
The colder weather and rain continued - one day we spent outside time in the gym using the parachute for the first time. It was a little hard to have six students around a full sized parachute and still get it to go up and down, but fun was still had by all.

For Messy Play on Monday, we used watercolors to make some new paintings for our wall. Although not so messy, it made some great new pictures for us to hang up.

In Bible, we talked about the story of Jacob and Esau and how Jacob lied to Isaac. We focused on how God tells us in the Bible not to lie and how lying can cause trouble for everyone. For the next two weeks, we will be looking at the story of Joseph and how God is always there for us, even when it does not seem like it.
We have been learning lots of new songs with Mrs Nanita when she comes and sings with us on Wednesdays. I think one of the favorites so far is 'I Will Make You Fishers of Men.' It has been nice to have someone else lead singing and be able to teach us so many new songs.
