Farm Field Trip

In mid-November, the preschool class was happy to partner with the Grade Ones and visit a local childrens farm about an hour from Appelsbosch. We had fun petting and feeding the many goats, rabbits, cows, horses and sheep. It was great to see the kids be able to interact with animals in a close way, as this is something that does not happen on the ship. It was also interesting to see how the kids responded to the animals - some with no fear of anything and others fearful of the baby goats. Each student was also able to have a short pony ride which was for some, the first time they had been on a pony. We had some lunchtime fun with the naughty chicken that Miss Deb put in timeout and a crazed duck while playing on the climbing frame that Miss Dara took care of - stories that the kids would love to tell :)
All in all, a good day.
