We're back! After a great summer break and fun at the summer program (Thank you Ms. Sam!) Mercy Ships Academy started back this Monday. We started this year again by gathering in the International Lounge - teachers, students and parents.
Preschool is a little different this year with only 4 students instead of the ten we started with the last two years. The Nursery group is also smaller this year with three, so, for some of the morning, we are altogether in the Preschool room for three days a week. It is a great group and I am excited to see what the year holds.
The students were very excited to see the classroom looking a little different this year with a new 'circle time' carpet and 2 new (well, new to preschool - old to everyone else) computers. We spent this week exploring our 'new' room, schedule and each other. For about the next month, we will be talking about Families - how we are special in our family, how God gave us special moms and dads, who are siblings are and how are families are the same and different. Any family (grandparents, aunts/uncles, cousins, former classmates) out there reading, please feel free to leave comments.
