Week Six

This week finally found us celebrating Emily's birthday! Since the start of September, we have been talking in calander time how Emily's birthday would be on the 24th and then counting the days as we got closer. We celebrated on Wednesday during snack time with cupcakes that Emily and Dana brought in to share - lovely chocolate cupcakes which everyone loved. -- Now we start the October countdown to the birthdays of Miriam (2nd), Miss Elizabeth (5th) and Norah (21st).

Our outside play this week, we had one day using chalk out on the dock and one day using the Hula Hoops on Deck 7. I think everyone was excited to find that they could swing the Hula Hoop at least a little bit - even Miss Elizabeth and Miss Sally :)

On Friday, we had fun here on the ship while the rest of school was away at a Sports Day at the American International School. The Lord gave us a lovely blue sky, so we were able to play some games on the dock and get nice and sweaty before coming up to Deck 7 for some water play. We had some relay races, a Hula Hoop 'musical chairs' and then played Leap Frog. Everyone particpated and we even had some moms and dads, Joyce and Luke come and join us. Unfortunitally, I forgot my camera, so I have no pictures out on the dock, only of the water play afterwards.
